I'm thrilled to announce that on Friday, June 24th, 2022, I successfully sold out my inaugural NFT collection. This collaboration was with an icon who has long been an inspiration to me: Stevie Williams, the founder of DGK, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and skateboarding legend. The collection, titled "Stevie Williams x Will Brown Designs - JKwon Animation Collection," comprised a total of 35 NFTs. It featured seven unique variations, each with five editions. The collection debuted on OpenSea on May 4th, 2022.
These NFTs consist of frame-by-frame, hand-illustrated looping animations, crafted from highlight clips of Stevie executing remarkable flip tricks at the renowned JKwon Plaza in Los Angeles, California. Each animation is accompanied by a custom beat tailored to its specific variation. Additionally, upon purchasing one of these NFTs, the initial buyer received a signed DGK skateboard deck from Stevie Williams. The design of the board corresponds to the graphic featured within the respective animated digital collectible.
It's truly amazing to have completely sold out my inaugural NFT collection in collaboration with Stevie Williams. Countless hours of hard work were poured into every facet of this project: the branding, promoting, marketing, creating all the graphics and animated collectibles, getting custom beats produced, marketplace management, digital asset management, customer service, shipping and handling, and persevering through a bear market.
Despite the obstacles along the way, I'm immensely satisfied with the outcome and how everything seamlessly came together. Taking a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate this significant achievement feels incredibly rewarding. I'm deeply grateful to Stevie for his trust and support throughout this endeavor, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who rallied behind this collection.
